Emerald

Emerald Quartz is a multidisciplinary artist whose primary medium is photography. Fueled by a natural love of stories and storytelling, her work centers narratives at the intersection of Black American experience and feminine identity, sometimes drawing on her own introspection and internal monologue and arriving at self portraiture. In tandem with multiple years of self-taught practice, she is pursing a BFA in photography at College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit where she was born and currently resides. Her work has been shown in a growing list of venues including CCS, Scarab Club, Hatch Arts Gallery, and in Photo Vogue.
